GHEE ♨️ Making this golden elixir is so rewarding and satisfying. Scroll ⬅️ for process pictures. It has now become my ritual to make ghee every few weeks using the most organic grass fed cows milk butter I can find. Ghee tastes great and I think it makes some healthy but unappetizing foods more palatable and aromatic.

Fortunately, is very simple to make and this ghee recipe will show you how!

STEPS

1 Month Vegan Challenge

1. In a sauce pan, melt the butter slowly over low heat.
2. Continue to cook the butter until all the solids have sunk to the bottom and the liquid is clear. This is clarified butter, keep cooking for ghee!
3. Continue to cook for a few more minutes until all the solids at the bottom of the pan have turned light brown. Discard strained milk solids.
4. Strain the liquid into a glass container and allow to cool. Cover and store in the fridge.

nanzskitchen I also prefer ghee over other oils in various recipes. The wonderful ghee is just perfect in many Indian curries and desserts.
