I really enjoyed preparing this simple fish curry and it includes all the three classic ingredients of a Bengali fish curry. Though Bengali curries are mostly made with fresh water fish, this curry made with Salmon is equally delicious-
1. The curry calls for just 1 spice- yeah just ONE SPICE- and that’s nigella seeds. This spice has a mild bitter taste and a gorgeous pungent flavor that completely rules the flavor of the curry.
2. Like most Bengali fish curries, this too is prepared in mustard oil. In fact I prepare most my curries in mustard oil. The lovely pungent flavor is addictive.
3. Almost every Bengali fish curry calls for fresh green chili and I kept them long and sliced for mild flavor.
We enjoyed this delicious Bengali Salmon Curry with ♨️plain white rice!
